Tami Wedekind
WedekindWorks is the textile art studio of Tami Wedekind.
WedekindWorks bring a space to life through their unique custom textile art that transforms a space through scale, color, and texture.
Tami holds a Masters in architecture from the Southern California Institute of Architecture. She has spent over 20 years working on the design of spaces and now uses her unique patterns to create inspirational pieces that “work” for their specific location. Her background allows her to work with interior designers and architects, speak their language and develop a stunning embellishment for their space.
Textiles are the earliest form of shelter and weaving has a long history and shared symbiosis with architecture. Tami draws from these constructs, folds in her colorful and bold patterns melded with the right textile weave and innovative framework to develop a piece that speaks to its surroundings.
WedekindWorks has created custom textile art for high end hotels, corporate offices and private residences in the form of window treatments, room dividers, or wall hangings.
Tami’s greatest passion is to collaborate with an architect or interior designer to create that unique transformational piece that completes the designer’s vision and adds textural warmth and depth.
